Fall Furnace Checkup Time

The days are getting shorter and nights are getting cooler.

Fall is right around the corner and now is a good time to get your furnace inspected and cleaned.

Summer is winding down and AC usage is decreasing, as a result, the HVAC technicians’ schedules are not packed with AC related service calls.

Calling now and setting up an appointment will greatly improve your chances of getting the appointment time slot that works best for you.

You don’t want to wait until it’s cold out to find out there is a problem with your furnace. By then it’s too late and the technicians schedule is full again.

I don’t recommend or bash any service companies on my blog. I always suggest that you do your homework first before calling for service.

Check with your neighbors to see who they use or wouldn’t use again. The Better Business Bureau (bbb.org) is always a good resource.

Angie’s list and Home Advisor are two other options.

Having a routine cleaning and service will also give you a chance to check out the company before you have an emergency.

If later you do have an emergency, you don’t want to be scrabbling looking for and having to accept the first company that can come out.

Being proactive with maintenance can help avoid costly repairs due to neglect.

A good cleaning and service will help your furnace run more efficiently and save you money on your energy bills.
